SCOTT B. FARNHAM ’97 was a Football Gazette First Team All-America selection in 1996 as well as its Defensive Back of the Year in addition to earning Hewlett-Packard First Team All-America honors. As a senior, Farnham also garnered Academic All-America® Second Team accolades and was a first team All-Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference defensive back. His 10 interceptions in 1996 still stand as a DePauw single-season record and were second among all Division III players that season. Farnham’s 16 career interceptions still rank third in program history. Introducing the Hall of Fame 2018 Class of Inductees The 1996 George E. Lortz Scholar Athlete Award winner for the senior football player with the highest cumulative grade point average, Farnham was DePauw’s Gaumey Neal Defensive Player of the Year in 1996 and captained the team to a 9-1 overall record including 7-0 for the ICAC championship. As a senior, he was one of 20 finalists on all levels for the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics Preseason Games Scholar-Athlete Postgraduate Scholarship.

Farnham received a B.A. degree in biological sciences and graduated Cum Laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from University of Nebraska Medical Center with Distinction in 2001 and completed the Urologic Surgery residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2006. Since 2006, Farnham has worked as a urologist in Indianapolis with Urology of Indiana
