The 70,000-square-foot complex will include a new stadium, modern locker rooms, versatile team meeting spaces, a cutting-edge weight room and dedicated recovery and sports medicine areas designed to elevate performance and support student-athlete wellness. Social and enrichment spaces will help student-athletes connect, lead and grow, on an off the field.
The new stadium will enhance the fan experience for the DePauw and Greencastle communities, with upgraded seating for football and track and field, improved concessions and more accessible amenities. Designed by global sports and entertainment firm Populous, the performance center will be heated and cooled by a 250-ton geothermal system, which will significantly reduce emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.

Project Updates
COMING SOON - livestream of the construction process
June, 2026 - Two major items this month.
- Demolition is on schedule for the first week of June. Large equipment and tools will be mobilized on Monday, June 1, and on Tuesday, June 2, crews will begin tearing down the "Blackstock Annex" (1-story section west of the press box) which was added in 1997. After the "Blackstock Annex" is demolished, crews will demo bleacher sections north and south of the press box. This will enable them to remove the copper and letters that are to be salvaged with a boom lift. Overall, the demolition process will be 2-3 weeks.
- Geothermal well drilling is underway on Boswell Field. Eventually, 140 wells will be drilled between Boswell Field and Blackstock West.
