A second baseman for the Tigers, Chalmers holds the DePauw baseball record with 111 career bases on balls including a single-season record 46 in 1985 when he was named the team’s MVP. His nine career triples are tied for ninth, while his 26 stolen bases are 13th and his 10 homers are 16th. The first team all-region selection in 1986 was also a CoSIDA Academic All-America® honorable mention choice as a senior.

Chalmers graduated from DePauw in 1986 with degrees in physics and computer science and began in sales with Procter & Gamble. The majority of his nearly 30-year career with P&G was rooted in and around information technology, though he also had the chance to serve and learn in human resources and corporate communications roles. Chalmers and his wife Sharon have been married 34 years and are parents to Audra, Parker and Adam.
