Larry Marfise ’74, a member of Sigma Nuf raternity, received his B.A. degree in Physical Education followed by his M.A.T. in Physical Education from DePauw in 1976.   He completed his M.S. in Administration from Ohio University in 1976.  During his athletic career at DePauw, Marfise earned three letters in football and also competed on the wrestling and track and field teams. Marfise was the team’s co-captain his senior year and earned All-Indiana Collegiate Conference second team honors at defensive guard as both a junior and senior.

Marfise served as an assistant football coach at DePauw for the 1975 season and the head wrestling coach during the 1975-76 school year.  He later worked as a head coach and teacher at several high schools and universities including the University of Evansville, Ohio University, St. Mary’s (Calif.) and Ferris State.  As the current Athletic Director at the University of Tampa, he continues to make sports a large part of his life. He and his wife, Suzanne, reside in Tampa, Florida, and he is the proud father of Jacob and Cole.
