He played football and basketball all four years and baseball his junior and senior years. An outstanding quarterback, Morrie led the nation in passing percentage for small colleges his senior year. He quarterbacked three straight wins over Wabash, and in his senior year accounted for five touchdowns against the Little Giants. His football teammates voted him Most Valuable Player his senior year. In basketball he led his team in free throw percentage and played on DePauw's only ICC championship team, which went to the NCAA tournament. Since graduation he has taught school and served as ahead coach with winning records in both basketball and football. Presently employed at South Central High School in LaPorte, Morrie has been named to Who's Who in America.
