Driggs earned a degree in physical education from DePauw and later earned a Master of Education in reading and learning disabilities from DePaul. After graduation she moved to St. Louis where she worked as an assistant coach at John Burroughs High School. Her career in education began at Deerfield (Ill.) High School, where she taught and served as head field hockey coach. She tutored students with learning disabilities before returning to full-time teaching at Wolcott College Prep, a specialized school for students with learning differences. There, she works as a learning strategist and testing coordinator.

She has been deeply involved in her children’s school and extracurricular activities and has volunteered with the Little Traverse Nature Conservancy in northern Michigan, where the family spends summers. She remains actively engaged with DePauw, serving on the facility board of Kappa Alpha Theta.
