Dr. Jennifer Burns Pulido graduated magna cum laude in 1990 with a B.A. in Biology and with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She went on to receive her Medical Degree from Ohio State University.Burns Pulido is currently employed as a pediatrician at the Denver Rocky Mountain Youth Medical Clinic and as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. .She also practices at the Urban Peak Shelter for Homeless Youth.

A four year letterman at DePauw, Burns Pulido competed in both the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA) Division III and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) national singles championships as a senior. She advanced to the third round of the NAIA tournament and was an NAIA all-America selection. She finished her senior season ranked 16thin Division III. A two-time Hoosier Conference for Women singles and doubles champion,

Burns Pulido also was a two-time selection to the Volvo Tennis/Scholar Athlete Team and was voted to the GTE Academic All-America At-Large Third Team. Burns Pulido, her husband Ed and their three children, Nicholas, Charlotte and Katherine live near Denver, Colorado.
