DANIEL S. GARRISON ’01 graduated as the Men’s Swimming and Diving program’s all-time leading scorer and earned Academic All-America honors as a senior. During his senior season, he earned all-America honors in the 100-yard freestyle after finishing fifth in the event at the NCAA Division III Championships. He was a four-time honorable mention all-America in the 100 butterfly, once in the 100 free and was a member of seven honorable mention all-America relays. Garrison won eight individual conference championships and was the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Meet in 2000 and the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference Co-Most Valuable Swimmer in 1998 as the Tigers won conference titles in 1998 and 2000 and finished second the other two years.
Following graduation from DePauw with a Bachelor of Arts in economics, Garrison served as an executive assistant to the CEO of HealthMarkets before serving as private loan product manager and corporate financial analyst. In 2009, he moved into a vice president of finance and agency operations role and, since 2014, has served as senior vice president, carrier relations and business development. Garrison and his wife, Lorraine, have a daughter, Amelia.
