Meredith Rinaker Allen earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Women’s Division III All-America first team honors in 2003 and was a two-time all-Great Lakes Region honoree including second team in 2004 and first in 2003. She also was a two-time first team all-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference choice in 2003 and 2004 and earned third team honors in 2002. A midfielder for the Tigers, Allen was named the SCAC co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. She finished her career with 16 goals and eight assists and, during her four seasons, the Tigers posted a 53-17-4 record including 31-3-1 in SCAC games. The 2001 Tigers advanced to the NCAA second round, while the 2003 squad captured the SCAC title and won three postseason games before falling to Chicago in double overtime in the NCAA Division III semifinals. Allen was selected to the Division III Championship All-Tournament Team. In 2014 she was named to the SCAC’s 15th anniversary team.

Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature from DePauw in 2005 and, in 2013, she graduated from University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work with a Masters of Social Work (MSW). She obtained her Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in 2016 and her Masters in Education Administration from Argosy University in 2018. Allen started her career in education as an MSW at an alternative high school in the Sheridan School District, Denver, Colo. After receiving her Masters in Education Administration, she moved to northern Colorado in 2019 and started working as Greeley - Evans Alternative Program’s (GAP) assistant principal. In 2021, Allen was hired as GAP’s principal and is headed into her third year as the building leader. In 2016 she married Hunter Allen and, in 2018, they welcomed identical twin daughters to the world.
