Greencastle, Ind.- After finishing third at the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) men's tennis championships, the 13-9 DePauw men's tennis team landed five student-athletes on All-NCAC teams. Head coach Scott Riggle was also named NCAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year for the first time in his career as the head men's tennis coach.
Leading the Tigers at court one throughout the year, junior Thomas Partridge (North York, Ontario, Canada/ Royal St. George College) collected his second-consecutive All-NCAC first-team selection in singles play. Partridge posted an 11-8 record singles record and was also selected for a second time as an All-NCAC doubles first-team selection alongside senior Wyatt Metzger(Westfield, Ind./ Guerin Catholic). They completed the season with a 12-8 record at court one.
Along with his first-team doubles selection, W. Metzger was named to the singles second-team for the second time in his career at DePauw after going 13-6 at number two.
After finishing the season 11-9 overall at number four, Gordian Bruns (Forst, Germany/ Kurfürst-Friedrich Gymnasium) earned singles honorable mention accolades along with his teammate Cole Metzger (Westfield, Ind. Guerin Catholic), who finished the season 8-9 overall. In doubles play, the duo of C. Metzger and Ryan McCook (St. Albans NY/ Home School) earned honorable mention honors with a 10-6 overall record.
