Granville, Ohio - Fourth-seed DePauw advanced to the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Tournament semifinals with a 5-0 quarterfinal win over fifth-seed Wabash. The Tigers moved to 16-9, while the Little Giants finished the season at 14-11. DePauw faces top-seed and host Denison at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
The Tigers earned the doubles point with wins at the second and third spots.
Paul Castleman and
Will Hutchinson were 6-2 winners at number-two over Murilo Guarniari and Edmon Neto, while
Scott Anderson and
Wils Warren topped Vittorio Bona and Cole Shifferly at number-three by a 6-4 score.Â
DePauw completed the sweep in singles as Anderson was first off after a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Rafael Rin at the number-two position before
William Cramer topped Neto by a 6-3, 6-2 score at number five.
Finley Buelte wrapped up the win with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 win over Guarniari at first singles.
