Granville, Ohio - Fourth-seed DePauw bowed out of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament following a 4-0 loss to top-seed Denison. The 29th-ranked Tigers dropped to 16-10, while the third-ranked Big Red improved to 23-2 and advanced to tomorrow's championship match.
Denison won the doubles points after taking a pair of 6-1 wins at the second and third spots. At number-two doubles, Nick Meyers and Andreas Chapides defeated
Will Hutchinson and
Paul Castleman, while the third doubles team of Wesley Huang and Jacob Patterson toppedÂ
Scott Anderson and
Wils Warren.
Patterson was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over
Paul Castleman at number-three singles with Andreas Chapides defeating
Viktor Ronnberg 6-1, 6-2 at the fourth spot. Denison's Ethan Green clinched the team win with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over
Finley Buelte.
