Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Visiting Kenyon outscored DePauw, 7-1, in the second half and pulled away for a 15-5 North Coast Athletic Conference victory over the Tigers. DePauw dropped to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the NCAC, while the Lords improved to 7-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
The Lords wasted little time in getting on the board as they scored twice in the opening 46 seconds of the game. The Tigers countered as Beckett Tasker scored just 1:12 into the contest. DePauw trailed 5-3 after the first period and were still within two goals at 6-4 before Kenyon scored twice in the final 2:20 of the opening half for an 8-4 halftime lead.
Kenyon put the game away by outscoring the Tigers, 3-1, in the third and 4-0 in the final stanza.
Tasker, Danny Karbowski, Jack Flynn, Chris Schaefer and Henry White each scored once for the Tigers. Matt Pollack led Kenyon with four goals, while Weston Powell and Mike Matteo scored two apiece. Rollins Heath led the Lords with three assists.
Patrick Lawton recorded 17 saves in goals for DePauw, while Mayo Amorello stopped eight DePauw shots.
Kenyon won 22 of the 24 faceoffs and held advantages of 55-19 in shots and 53-21 in ground balls. The Tigers capitalized on 3-of-6 extra-man opportunities and stopped Kenyon on their four chances. DePauw committed 24 turnovers to Kenyon's 20.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, April 12, with a 4 p.m. NCAC game at Wabash.
