DePauw Battles Kenyon on Senior Day, 10-6

Greencastle, Ind. - On senior day, the Tigers lost 10-6 to the Kenyon Owls, dropping to 1-5 in conference play and 5-8 overall.

The Tigers started hot, putting up the first three goals of the game, with two goals coming from Gavin Berry and one from Alex Sharma. Kenyon fired back with two goals coming in the last four minutes of the quarter to make it 3-2, DePauw, going into the second.

Contrary to the hot start for the Tigers, the second quarter was all Kenyon as they put up three goals to make it 5-3, Kenyon going into the half. Kenyon rode their momentum at the beginning of the third quarter, as they extended their scoring streak to six with three goals nine minutes into the half. A goal from Oscar Kokke for the

Tigers closed out the third quarter, making the score 8-4. The fourth quarter saw even efforts by both teams, with Noah Sulpizio and Cooper Kinney tallying goals to match a pair of Kenyon goals. Bringing the final score to 10-6.

DePauw's senior goalkeeper, Anthony Reinheart, totaled 15 saves on his senior day, while Kenyon's goaltender, Adam Hall, recorded 10 saves.

DePauw was 18 for 26 on clearing the ball and had 27 ground balls, while the Owls were 12 of 19 on clears and totaled 33 ground balls. The Tigers turned the ball over 20 times during the course of the game, and Kenyon turned the ball over 19 times.

With a total of seven penalties, DePauw was man-down for two and a half minutes on three penalties, giving up one goal, and Kenyon was man-down for three minutes on four penalties, giving up no man-down goals.

With the loss, DePauw falls to 5-8 and 1-5 in conference. Their next game is at home, April 22nd, against Wittenberg.
