Box Score Meadville, Pa. - DePauw scored four of the game's final five goals to break a 3-3 tie and finish the 2022 season with a 7-4 North Coast Athletic Conference win at Allegheny. The Tigers finished at 4-12 overall and 3-6 in the NCAC, while the Gators moved to 4-13 overall and 2-7 in the league.
Beckett Tasker scored both of DePauw's first-half goals as the teams went to the halftime tied, 2-2. Jack Flynn gave DePauw a 3-2 advantage just 45 seconds into the second half before Allegheny's Pete Schellbach evened the count at 3-3 with 12:07 remaining in the third.
Chris Schaefer's goal with 10:44 left in the third gave DePauw the lead for good. The teams were scoreless until Tasker made it 5-3 with 13:14 remaining in the contest. Three minutes later Quinn Cashion extended the lead to 6-3. Allegheny's Jack Cushwa stopped the Tigers' run with 8:58 left before Henry White scored the games' final goal with 7:42 left.
Tasker led DePauw with three goals and Danny Karbowski totaled three assists. Four different Gators collected one goal each.
Patrick Lawton recorded 12 saves for the Tigers with Eric Mirkovich stopping 15 DePauw shots.
DePauw won 10 of the 14 faceoffs as Matthew Roman finished 9-of-13. The Tigers outshot the Gators, 33-22 and held a 42-31 lead in ground balls. Roman led the Tigers with eight ground balls, while Allegheny's Cassady Bouthet finished with four. DePauw committed 33 turnovers to Allegheny's 29.
