Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Wittenberg scored the game's first eight goals and held on for a 12-4 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw in the final home game for the Tigers. DePauw dropped to 3-12 overall and 2-6 in the NCAC, while Wittenberg improved to 5-9 overall and 5-3 in the conference.
Wittenberg scored four times in the first period and extended the lead to 8-0 with 6:49 left in the second. Henry White delivered DePauw's first score with 2:03 left in the half before Wittenberg added a score with 51 seconds remaining in the half for a 9-1 halftime lead.
The guests extended the lead to 11-1 before White added another goal and Chris Schaefer scored twice in the final 1:20.
White and Schaefer each scored twice for DePauw, while five different Wittenberg players scored two goals each.
Wittenberg outshot DePauw 42-26 and held a 32-30 edge in ground balls.
Patrick Lawton recorded 11 saves for DePauw while Brandotn Shevins totaled 10 for Wittenberg.
The Tigers' Matthew Roman won 11 of the 20 faceoffs and led DePauw with eight ground balls.
DePauw wraps up the season on Saturday, April 30, with a Noon NCAC contest at Allegheny.
