Atlanta, Ga.- The DePauw University men's tennis team fell to No. 11 Emory University 8-1, moving to 9-6 overall.
The Eagles jumped to an early lead after Emory's Antonio Mora and Samuel Dean defeated Cole Metzger and Ryan McCook 8-2 at number two; then, Sahil Raina and Ryan Glanville beat Chase Hutchinson and Hudson Mosher 8-3 at number three. The Eagles completed the doubles sweep with Andrew Esses, and Nolan Shah defeated Thomas Partridge and Wyatt Metzger 8-5 at number one.
In singles play, Emory's Santiago Suarez defeated Jake Watson 6-1, 6-2 at number five, followed by Nolan Shah beating Cole Metzger 6-3, 6-0 to clinch the match for the Eagles.
At number one, Antonio Mora defeated Thomas Partridge 6-3, 6-4, with Sahil Raina beating Ryan McCook 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 at number six. The Eagles' Andrew Esses earned Emory's final victory after defeating Wyatt Metzger 6-2, 4-6, 11-9.
The Tigers' lone win came at number four when Gordian Bruns beat Brandon Cohen 6-1, 6-4.
DePauw's next match is set to face Rose-Hulman on the road on Wednesday, April 6 at 6 pm EDT.
