Box Score Lexington, Ky. - Transylvania scored the game's first four goals and never trailed on the way to an 11-3 win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 0-4 on the season and Transylvania improved to 5-0.
The Pioneers' Will Warner scored 2:43 into the contest and Transylvania added two more in the opening period for a 3-0 lead. Quinn Fox added his second goal of the contest in the opening five minutes of the second to extend the lead to 4-0.
Henry White put the Tigers on the board with an assist from Danny Karbowski with 6:27 remaining in the half. Jack Flynn's unassisted goal with 2:24 left in the half closed the gap to 4-2.
Transylvania's Preston Weinberg took a pass from Peyton Bray who won the opening faceoff of the third and scored just six seconds into the period. The Pioneers extended the lead to 11-2 before White scored with 28 seconds remaining.
White scored two for the Tigers, while Tai Stormont, Weinberg and Fox each scored twice for the Pioneers. Fox, Liam Harari and Kayd Aquino each assisted on a pair.
DePauw's Matthew Roman won 12 of the 18 faceoffs and Jack Kneisley led with five ground balls. Four different Pioneers had three ground balls apiece.
Patrick Lawton recorded seven saves for DePauw with Topher Hays totaling seven for Transylvania.
Transylvania outshot DePauw, 34-18, and DePauw had 20 turnovers to the Pioneers' 15. Each team had 22 ground balls.
