Box Score Whittier, Calif.- The DePauw men's lacrosse team suffered another road loss after the Whittier College Poets beat the Tigers, 25-8, for the Poets' eighth win of the season.
Whittier took the lead over DePauw early, putting in eight goals to the Tigers' one in the first period.
Danny Karbowski, Jack Flynn, and Chris Schaefer finished the night with two goals apiece. Schaefer and Jack Gruchacz tallied one assist, while Beckett Tasker recorded two of his own.
DePauw went 2-6 in extra-man opportunities and caused five turnovers across regulation. The Tigers would go 19-23 in clear attempts; however, they were outshot 23 to 46 by the poets.
Patrick Lawton recorded 14 saves in goal, while Whittiers' Drew Low saved five, and Jayden Warlum saved four.
The Tigers move to 1-7 overall and remain on the road, with a matchup against the College of Wooster on Sunday, April 3 at 1 pm EDT.
