Greencastle, Ind.- The DePauw men's tennis team lost at home after falling to WashU 8-1, moving to 2-4 overall, while the Bears improved to 1-1.

In doubles play, Jeremy Ouyang and Scott Yamamoto defeated Gordian Bruns and Ryan McCook 8-3 at No. 2. The Bears would earn its second doubles victory after Abhi Ramireddy, and Daniel Li beat Wyatt Metzger and Thomas Partridge 8-5 at No.1. The Tigers' lone win of the day came when DePauw's Hudson Mosher and Chase Hutchinson defeated WashU's John Fakouri and Henri Ohl 8-6.

In singles play, Lucas Guy beat Ryan McCook 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6, while Luke Smith beat Jake Watson 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4. Up four matches to one, the Bears clinched its victory after Gaurav Sing defeated Gordian Bruns 6-1, 6-1 at No.3.

WashU continued to dominate in singles play, with Jared Phillips beating Grayson Zylstra 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5. On No. 1, Abhi Ramireddy battled Thomas Partridge, beating Partridge 6-3, 7-6 (7-1). The Bears' final victory of the afternoon came on No. 2, where Daniel Li defeated Wyatt Metzger after going 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6).

The Tigers are back in the ITT on Tuesday, February 22 at 4:30 pm EST to play host to Indiana Wesleyan.
