Springfield, Ohio - Host Wittenberg outscored DePauw, 5-1, in the second half and topped the Tigers by a 12-5 score. DePauw dropped to 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference West Division, while Wittenberg improved to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in division play.

Jack Flynn and Connor Gibson scored in the opening three minutes to give DePauw a 2-0 lead, but Wittenberg countered with three scores in a 3:14 span to take a 3-2 advantage. Flynn knotted the contest with eight seconds left in the opening period.

Neither team scored over the opening 10 minutes of the second before Wittenberg took the lead on Andrew Ellis' score. DePauw's Will Roberts evened the count at 4-4 before Wittenberg scored three times in the final 2:31. DePauw's lone goal of the second half came from Dan McCauley with 5:29 remaining in the third.

Flynn led DePauw with two goals, while Ellis and Kody Gould each had two for Wittenberg. Luke Ruiz-Funes totaled 12 saves in goal for DePauw with Patrick Lawton adding one. Max Cavellier stopped 12 DePauw shots.

DePauw won 14 of the 20 faceoffs with Jack Kneisley winning 13 of 18. Kneisley had nine of the Tigers' 33 ground balls and Braeden Meier had eight of Wittenberg's 34.

DePauw committed 26 turnovers to Wittenberg's 17, while Wittenberg outshot DePauw, 48-30.
