Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw stayed unbeaten in North Coast Athletic Conference play following an 8-1 win over visiting Wabash at the DePauw Indoor Tennis and Track Center. The Tigers moved to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC West Division, while the Little Giants dropped to 4-9 overall and 0-4 in the division.
The Tigers swept the doubles play as the number two team of Noah Roberts and Jake Watson blanked Reese Long and Reed Mathis, 8-0, and the third tandem of Gordian Bruns and Jack Wysong were 8-1 victors over Devin Vanyo and Paul Hargitt. The number one team of Bryce McClanahan and Thomas Partridge capped the sweep with an 8-3 win over Liam Grennon and Cole Borden.
Bruns was the first off at fourth singles after blanking Long 6-0, 6-0 before Noah Roberts capped the team win with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Hargitt at fifth singles.
Partridge topped Grennon at first singles by a 6-0, 6-2 count followed by Watson at the third spot with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mathis and Reese Bergstrom with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Trevor McKinney. Wabash's lone point came at second singles where Borden wrapped up the match with a 6-3, 2-6, 1-0 (10-6) win over McClanahan.
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, April 17, with a pair of matches at Wittenberg beginning at 11:30 a.m.
