Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Will Roberts tied the DePauw single-record record with seven goals as the Tigers topped Earlham, 20-2, in the home opener at Reavis Stadium. DePauw moved to 1-1, while the Quakers dropped to 0-2.
The Tigers scored the game's first six goals and held a 9-1 advantage at halftime. The teams exchanged scores early in the third period before the Tigers scored the game's final 10 goals.
Roberts tied the DePauw single-game mark of seven goals held by teammate Ben Davis against Carthage in 2019 and Andrew Wright against Hiram in 2015. Davis followed with six goals and Tyler McCoy added three. Roberts and Davis each assisted on three scores.
Jack Kneisley led DePauw with eight ground balls and won 10 of 13 faceoffs. Patrrick Lawton recorded six first-half saves and Jack Gruchacz totaled two in the second half.
DePauw outshot the Quakers, 56-16 and held a 38-24 edge in ground balls. The Tigers won 17 faceoffs and were successful on 19 of 24 clears.
