Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Playing at home for the first time this year, DePauw also collected its first win in three tries as it defeated Rose-Hulman by a 7-2 score. The Engineers dropped to 2-1.
DePauw took a 2-1 lead after doubles as Bryce McClanahan and Thomas Partridge topped Joseph Conrad and Hart Howard by an 8-5 score at the number-one slot and the number-two tandem of Noah Roberts and Chris Maltby defeated Josh Giambattista and Rhian Seneviratne, 8-5. Rose-Hulman's Mark Slaninka and Grant Stamper were 8-6 victors over Jake Watson and Gordian Bruns at third doubles.
The Tigers claimed the team win after Bruns beat Howard 6-1, 6-2 at fourth singles followed by Roberts with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Seneviratne at the fifth spot and Maltby's 6-1, 6-3 victory over Slaninka at sixth singles.
Watson topped Conrad at third singles 6-3, 6-2 and McClanahan beat Stamper at second singles 6-1, 6-4. The Engineers' other point of the match came at first singles were Giambattista defeated Partridge 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8).
DePauw returns to action on Saturday, March 27, with a 2 p.m. match at Denison.
