Kalamazoo, Mich. - DePauw was represented by a pair of student-athletes at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Championships as Wyatt Metzger and Thomas Partridge competed in both singles and doubles.
Partridge opened with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Capital's Leonardo Abreu before bowing out to WashU's fifth-seeded Abhi Ramireddy 6-1, 6-2.
Metzger topped Millikin's Clayton Maack in the opening round by a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) score and then defeated Kenyon's Eric Zhang (Kenyon) 1-6, 6-1, 1-0 (13-11). In the round of 16, Denison's second-seeded Tim Cianciola knocked off Metzger 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles play, the tandem opened with an 8-1 win over Cole Phillips and Theordor Wolf of Millikin before losing to WashU's second-seeded team of Daniel Li and Abhi Ramireddy, 8-4.
