Box Score Granville, Ohio - DePauw opened North Coast Athletic Conference play at seventh-ranked Denison and was on the short end of a 20-3 loss to the Big Red. The Tigers dropped to 0-5, while Denison improved to 4-0.
Denison scored just three seconds into the contest and added another goal 34 seconds later on the way to a 7-0 first-quarter lead and a 12-0 advantage at the halftime intermission.
DePauw reached the board with three goals in the third from Quinn Roddy, Quinn Cashion and Jack Richey. The Big Red closed the contest by outscoring the Tigers, 5-0, in the fourth.
The Big Red won 21 of the 27 faceoffs and held a 50-20 edge in ground balls. Denison outshot the Tigers, 68-18 and committed 15 turnovers to DePauw's 19.
Cashion paced DePauw with four ground balls, while Hunter Golian led Denison with six.
