Tigers Top Panthers, 7-2

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw moved to 2-5 on the season and handed Principia its first loss in six matches this season after topping the Panthers, 7-2.

DePauw swept the doubles competition as the number-one team of Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan defeated Wyatt Dale and Greg Sovie by an 8-7 (7-1) score and the second duo of Wyatt Metzger and Billy Louiselle were 8-7 (7-5) winners over Daniel Gomez and Brody Swan. The Tigers' third doubles team of Alex Bertolini and Will Sultan topped Jules Kitchingman and Nat Kenworthy, 8-6.

The Tigers claimed the team with with singles wins at four of the six flights. McClanahan defeated Dale at second singles 7-6 (7-1), 6-0 and Metzger was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Sovie at third singles. Louiselle was a 7-6 (4), 6-1 winner over Kenworthy at the fifth spot and Alex Pintilie defeated Swan at sixth singles 6-1, 6-1.

DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, March 5, when it hosts Earlham at 4:30 p.m.
