Tigers Even Record with Win over Fighting Scots

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw evened its season record at 5-5 with its fifth straight win as the Tigers topped visiting Wooster, 7-2. The Fighting Scots dropped to 3-5.

The Tigers won two of the three doubles matches as the number-one team of Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan defeated Jesse DeWitt and Nathan Devereux by an 8-1 score and the second doubles tandem of Wyatt Metzger and Billy Louiselle topped Joaquin Abos Amo and Alon Liberman, 8-5.

DePauw then wrapped up the win with victories in five of the six singles matches. Frauenheim won by retirement over  Austin Hanna at first singles after leading in the first set, 3-0, and Metzger was a 6-2, 6-2 winner over Abos Amo at number-two singles.

Alex Bertolini topped Devereux by a 6-1, 6-3 score at fourth singles with Alex Pintilie taking a 6-0, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3) victory over Jesse DeWitt at the fifth spot and Louiselle winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) over Nebyou Minassie at sixth singles.

The Tigers return to action on Monday, March 25, with an 11:30 a.m. match against St. Thomas (Minn.) on Hilton Head Island, S.C.
