Tigers Fall to 0-4 after Losses to Butler and WashU

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw wrapped up the opening weekend of the spring portion of its schedule with a 8-1 loss on Saturday to Division I Butler and a 9-0 defeat to Division III's ninth-ranked Washington University. The Tigers are now 0-4 on the season, while Butler improved to 6-4 and WashU is now 1-2.

Against Butler, the Tigers' lone point came at sixth singles where Alex Pintilie defeated Sam Sullivan 6-4, 7-6 (9-7).

In the WashU match, the Bears won in straight sets except at second singles where 32nd-ranked Bernardo Neves topped the Tigers' Bryce McClanahan 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8).

DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, February 13, when it hosts Division II Indianapolis.
