Men Place Fifth in NCAC Championships with Win Over Wabash

Indianapolis, Ind. – The DePauw men's tennis team concluded their season with a 5-1 win over Wabash to claim fifth place in the 2018 NCAC Men's Tennis Championships.

DePauw set the tone early after sweeping all three doubles flights. At No. 1, Greg Frauenheim and Bryce McClanahan won 9-8; Sean Carroll and Alex Bertolini at No. 2 won 8-4; and at No. 3 Michael Kolbus and Jose Bonilla won 9-8 (14-12).

McClanahan then took the first win for DePauw in singles play where he won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 spot. Wabash's Nicholas Pollock defeated Daniel Kinas at the No. 5 flight 6-0, 6-2, but Sean Carroll wrapped up the match for DePauw with a 7-5, 6-2 win at the No. 6 flight.

DePauw finishes the year at 6-17 with two of those wins coming over Wabash. Wabash finishes at 13-12.
