Tigers Move to 2-0 in NCAC

Greencastle, Ind. – The DePauw men's tennis team defeated Wittenberg 8-1 and improved their NCAC West record at 2-0.

The 4-6 singles flights did not allow their opponents to score a single game as Matthew Quammen, Alex Bertolini and Sean Carroll all won 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2 singles, Bryce McClanhan won 6-2, 6-1, and at No. 3 singles Alex Pintilie recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win.

At No. 1 singles Greg Frauenheim suffered a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Martin Mora. However, Frauenheim and McClanahan won their No. 1 doubles match 8-4.

At No. 2 doubles, Bertolini and Quammen went on for an 8-3 victory, and at No. 3, Carroll and Pintilie won 8-2.

DePauw is now 5-12 overall, while Wittenberg drops to 1-8 and 0-3 in the NCAC West. DePauw will host a conference doubleheader on Saturday against Denison and Ohio Wesleyan starting at 12:30 p.m.
