Bloomington, Ill. - Host Illinois Wesleyan scored the game's first four goals and never trailed on the way to a 17-5 win over DePauw. The Tigers moved to 0-4, while the Titans improved to 3-2.

After taking a 4-0 lead in the opening five minutes, the Titans scored eight of the next nine for an 11-1 advantage. DePauw scored the final two goals of the half, but Illinois Wesleyan put the game away by scoring the first five of the second half.

Erica Rapelje led DePauw with two goals, while Dani Engelbreit and Grainne Kelly each had four for the Titans with Sam Bidlack chipping in five assists.

Sarah Biely paced DePauw with four ground balls, while Rapelje had a team-high four draw controls. Engelbreit and Riley Rooney each had six ground balls for the hosts with Engelbreit leading with nine draw controls.

DePauw's Kathryn Hopkins stopped six shots in goal, while Janaye Godfrey had one save and Claire Quist three for the Titans.

Illinois Wesleyan outshot DePauw, 38-12, held a 24-17 edge in ground balls and 20-4 in draw controls. The Tigers committed 26 turnovers to the Titans' 21 and Illinois Wesleyan was successful on 12 of 13 clear situations to DePauw's 10 of 17.

The Tigers host Mount Union on Saturday at 1 p.m.
