Greencastle, Ind. - Trailing by six goals with under six minutes left, the Tigers scored four goals in a span of 3:06 but it wasn't enough as visiting Kenyon took a 14-12 win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the NCAC, while the Lords are now 5-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

The teams each scored once in the opening four minutes, but Kenyon added four more to take a 5-1 advantage after the first period. The Lords made it 6-1 before DePauw came back with two Nate Greenberg scores sandwiching a Ben Sherman goal to cut the Kenyon lead to 6-4. 

Kenyon responded with four straight before the Tigers closed the half with a pair of goals in the final 26 seconds by Kyle Roberts and Will Roberts to close the margin to 10-6. 

William Dorger's goal early in the third trimmed the lead to 10-7. The teams were scoreless for a 10-minute stretch of the third before Kenyon took a 12-7 lead into the final stanza on goals from Josh Galardi and Jonah Florence. Florence made it 13-7 1:52 into the fourth before the teams traded goals to give Kenyon a 14-8 lead.

Sherman and Ben Davis scored within nine seconds of one another to cut the lead to 14-10 before Steen Jorgensen closed the gap to two with a pair of goals in a 22-second span with the latter coming with 2:41 remaining. The Tigers' cpmeback ended there, however.

Sherman, Jorgensen, Kyle Roberts, Greenberg and Dorger each scored two in the loss, while Forence and Nick Vitale scored three apiece for the Lords.

Charlie Robson stopped six Kenyon shots, while Nick Connelly recorded nine saves for the Lords.

Joe Garvey recorded five ground balls and won 14 of 24 faceoffs with Matthew Braun going 4 of 5 in the middle for the Tigers. Will Harrigan paced Kenyon with six ground balls. 

Kenyon outshot DePauw 36-33, but DePauw heled a 16-4 edge in the fourth. Kenyon collected 28 ground balls to DePauw's 21 with the Tigers winning 18 of the 29 faceoffs. 

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, March 22, with a 7 p.m. home game against Illinois Wesleyan.
