Tigers Shutout by No. 9 Chicago

Chicago, Ill. -- The men's tennis lost to No. 9 Chicago on Friday 9-0 while dropping to an 0-3 record early in the season.

The men lost in straight sets throughout the lineup. Chicago improved to 6-0.

At No. 1 singles, Greg Frauenheim lost to Luke Tsai 6-1, 6-0; at No. 2 singles, Bryce McClanahan fell 6-3, 6-2; at No. 3 singles Alex Pintilie lost 6-3, 6-1; at No. 4 singles Matthew Quammen fell 6-0, 6-1; at No. 5 singles, Michael Kolbus suffered a 6-0, 6-2 defeat; and at No. 6 singles Daniel Kinas lost 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, Frauenheim and McClanahan lost 8-5 in the No. 1 flight; Pintilie and Quammen lost 8-2 at No. 2; and at No. 3 Kolbus and Sean Carroll lost 8-0.

DePauw is back in action Saturday against Coe.
