Tigers Earn 7-2 Victory Over Rival Little Giants

Crawfordsville, Ind. -- The DePauw men's tennis team took down rival Wabash 7-2 to earn their first win in the NCAC West.

The Tigers started off well, taking two of the three doubles matches. The No. 2 team of Dan Rodefeld and Matt Santen won 8-7 (9-7) and the No. 3 team of Matthew Quammen and John Daseke won 8-6.

Their five singles' wins came in straight sets. Rodefeld needed to win a first set tiebreaker in the No. 1 position to win 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.

At No. 2, Santen won 6-3, 6-2. Petar Barcot won at the No. 4 flight 6-3, 6-3.

Nate Wallace defeated Kirill Ivashchenko 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5, and at No. 6, Harold Martin shutout his opponent 6-0, 6-0.

DePauw improves to 6-9 overall, while Wabash drops to 8-12. The Tigers travel to Ohio Wesleyan on Friday.
