Sewanee, Tenn. - Emma Flynn scored six goals and Nicole Gibson assisted on three as DePauw improved to 4-2 with a 9-7 win at Sewanee. The host Tigers dropped to 9-3.

The teams were scoreless over the opening 10 minutes before Sewanee grabbed a 2-1 lead with just over 10 minutes left in the first half. Taylor Summers evened the score and Flynn added two more to give the Tigers a 4-2 lead with 53 seconds left. Sewanee, however, scored twice in the final 53 seconds to even the count at 4-4 at the intermission.

The score was tied twice in the second half before DePauw took the lead for good on goals from Flynn and Sarah Ramsey. Sewanee's Alden Woolford trimmed the DePauw lead to 8-7 with 1:16 left, but Flynn secured the win with just 54 seconds remaining on Gibson's assists.

In addition to Flynn's six goals, Summers added two. Woolford paced Sewanee with two goals with Molly Elkins adding two assists.

Lis Hawkins picked up the win in goal for DePauw with nine saves, while Brianna Young stopped 14 shots for Sewanee.

DePauw held a 14-4 edge in draw controls as Madi Lozanoski led with three. Kit Sommi had two draw controls for Sewanee. Each team collected 30 ground balls paced by Annie Barrett with five for DePauw and Young with eight for Sewanee. Sydney Blake caused three Sewanee turnovers and Sewanee's Anna Comer caused three DePauw turnovers.

DePauw returns to North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, April 1, when it hosts Hiram at 3:30 p.m.
