Tigers Claim Third Place in NCAC Tourney

Gambier, Ohio – The DePauw men's tennis team defeated Oberlin 5-0 on Sunday to take third place in the NCAC Men's Tennis Championships. No. 1 seeded Kenyon claimed the title by knocking off Denison 5-1.

The No. 33 Tigers got out to a quick start against the No. 40 Yeomen after sweeping doubles play. At No. 1 doubles, Alec Kaczkowski and Dan Rodefeld won 8-5; Harold Martin and Nate Wallace picked up a clean 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles; and at No. 3 doubles Nick Thompson and Patrick Farrell won 8-2.

In singles play, Kaczkowski won at No. 2 singles and Greg Frauenheim won at No. 4 singles 1-6, 6-0, 6-3. The remaining matches went unfinished.

DePauw is now 12-10 on the year and sits seventh in the regional ranking.
