Gambier, Ohio – Amidst cold, snowy and windy conditions the DePauw women's lacrosse team couldn't steal a victory against North Coast Athletic Conference foe Kenyon, falling 18-5 on Saturday.

Kenyon came out and scored the first six goals within the first 10:08 seconds before DePauw put up two of their own with 17:50 and 15:36 remaining in the first half. Maryclaire Heldring put DePauw on the board and Rachel Allen followed with a goal of her own. Abby Snively and Nicole Gibson recorded assists on the plays.

Kenyon came back and scored three more goals before the Tigers closed the first half with a goal from Emma Flynn. Kenyon led at the half 9-3.

The teams played to a 2-2 tie to open the second half with Tiger goals from Flynn and Taylor Summers (assist from Heldring). However, DePauw failed to score in the final 20 minutes while Kenyon scored seven more times to take the 18-5 win.

Kenyon outshot the Tigers 29-18 and won the ground ball advantage 24-18. Kenyon also won the draw controls 15-10.

Liz Hawkins made 10 saves in net for the Tigers while Kenyon's Allie Dumas accumulated six saves.

The Tigers drop to 2-8 overall and 1-2 in the NCAC. Kenyon is 7-2 overall and 1-2 in the NCAC. DePauw hosts Allegheny next Saturday.
