Indianapolis, Ind. - DePauw dropped to 6-8 on the season after dropping a 7-0 match to Division I Butler. The Bulldogs improved to 9-8.
Butler picked up the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.
Mikheil Khmiadashvili and Mason Dragos topped Alec Kaczkowski and Dan Rodefeld by a 6-4 count at first doubles, while Ari Gerstein and Spencer Lang took a 6-2 second doubles victory over Patrick Farrell and John Daseke. Butler's third doubles tandem of Temilope Adelakun ad Adria Mag were 6-4 victors over Harold Martin and Nate Wallace.
In singles play, Dragos defeated Rodefeld 6-2, 6-2 at the top spot, while Gerstein beat Farrell 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 at the second spot. At third singles, Khmiadashvili was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Kaczkowski with Lang winning 6-2, 6-1 over Matt Santen at fourth.
Mag beat Nick Thompson by a 6-1, 6-1 score at fifth singles and Adelakun was a 6-3, 6-2 winner over Alex Pintilie at the sixth spot.
DePauw, ranked 33th in Division III hosts 37th-ranked Coe on Sunday, April 10, at 10 a.m.
