Chicago, Ill. - Fourth-ranked Chicago swept singles in straight-sets and defeated 34th-ranked DePauw 8-1. DePauw dropped to 4-2, while the Maroons improved to 9-1.
DePauw trailed 2-1 after doubles with the third doubles team of Nate Wallace and Harold Martin picking up the lone win with an 8-6 victory over Bobby Bethke and Luke Tsai. The first doubles team of Alec Kaczkowski and Dan Rodefeld pushed Charlie Pei and Peter Leung to a tiebreaker before falling 9-8 (10-6).
DePauw faces Gustavus Adolphus in a 10 a.m. CST match tomorrow in Jackson, Wis.
