Box Score Granville, Ohio – The DePauw men's lacrosse team suffered a 17-3 loss against eighth-ranked Denison on Saturday.
Denison led 7-0 after one period and 12-0 at halftime. It wasn't until they were up 14 that DePauw struck for their first goal as Steen Jorgensen scored. Ben Sherman recorded the assist on the man up play.
Andrew Wright scored DePauw's other two goals with 2:52 left in the third period and 11:04 left in the fourth period.
Joe Musto took the loss in net. He logged 45 minutes, allowed 15 goals and made eight saves. Connor Patterson played the other 15 minutes in net and allowed two goals and made two saves.
Denison outshot DePauw 44-17, won faceoffs 14-9, won the ground ball advantage 43-22 and committed less turnovers at 24-13.
Denison moves to 7-1 overall and 1-0 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. DePauw drops to 3-5 and 0-2 in the NCAC. The Tigers return to action Saturday when they take on Beloit at Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox, Ill.
