Orange, Calif. – The DePauw women's lacrosse team lost to Chapman 18-1 on Tuesday to conclude their two-game trip in California. They lost to Redlands 18-8 on Monday.

The Tigers did not score against Chapman until late in the second half when Maryclaire Heldring assisted on a goal by Nicole Gibson with 8:05 left in the game. Chapman scored once more afterwards to make the score what it was.

Liz Hawkins and Maddie Allen split time in the net. Both allowed nine goals. Allen made four saves, while Hawkins made three.

DePauw could only muster five shots for the game, while Chapman took 35 shots themselves. Chapman won the ground ball battle 29-16 and the draw controls 16-5.

DePauw held the advantage in clears 16-11 but committed 20 turnovers to Chapman's 14.

The Tigers return to action Saturday when they're back at home to face Oberlin in their North Coast Athletic Conference opener.
