Alliance, Ohio - Host Mount Union held DePauw scoreless over the final 13 minutes of the first half, while scoring seven on the way to a 17-3 win over the Tigers. DePauw dropped to 1-3, while the Purple Raiders improved to 3-2.

Mount Union scored three times in the opening 8:08 before DePauw's Maryclaire Heldring and Taylor Summers scored in a 33-second span to make it 3-2 with 13:33 left.

The Purple Raiders countered quickly with a score 27 seconds later before tacking on six more for a 10-2 halftime lead. That lead reached 12-2 early in the second half before Summers cut the deficit to 12-3 at the 17:30 mark. The hosts scored five more to wrap up the scoring.

Summers scored twice and Heldring once, while Kathleen Doraty led Mount Union with five goals with Katie Elder adding four and Taylor Pensyl three.

Liz Hawkins totaled 14 saves for DePauw, while Casey McHenry and Nikki Bonaduce each had one for the Purple Raiders.

Mount Union held a 37-7 advantage in shots including 31-5 in shots on goal. The Purple Raiders also held a 17-7 edge in draw controls and 21-6 in ground balls. DePauw committed 21 turnovers to Mount Union's 12.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, March 19, when it hosts Baldwin Wallace at 11 a.m.
