Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - Visiting Rhodes scored the game's first three goals and never trailed on the way to a 10-4 win over DePauw at Reavis Stadium. The Tigers dropped to 0-1, while the Lynx improved to 3-0.
Joe Tooher put the Lynx on the board just 1:50 into the contest before Ryan Fennelly made it 2-0 and Tooher added a second goal with just 1:06 left in the opening stanza.
DePauw's Andrew Wright scored with 12:29 left in the half to trim the lead to 3-1, but Fennelly made it 4-1 with an assist from Tyler Milwit with just 4:39 remaining in the half.
Rhodes scored four times in the third to extend the lead to 8-1 with the first three goals coming in a span of just 1:04.
The Lynx pushed the margin to 9-2 before DePauw's Sam Alkema stopped the run on Matthew Dauw assist with 8:54 left in the game. After Rhodes' Jason Lee scored, Dauw added two more in the final six minutes.
Fennelly led the Lynx with four goals and two assists, while Lee added three scores. Dauw paced the Tigers with two goals.
Joe Muston recorded 16 saves in goal for DePauw, while Rhodes' Cameron Link had 14.
Rhodes outshot DePauw, 52-33, and held a 30-25 edge in ground balls.
DePauw hosts Kalamazoo on Saturday, February 27, at 2 p.m.
