Granville, Ohio - The 33rd-ranked Tigers improved to 9-9 overall and 3-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play following a 5-4 win at Denison. The 35th-ranked Big Red dropped to 8-9.
DePauw took a 2-1 lead after doubles as the number-one team of Eric Vannatta and Alecx Kaczkowski defeated Grant Veltman and Jackson O'Gorman-Bean, 8-5, and the third doubles tandem of Patrick Farrell and Harold Martin were 8-2 winners over Owen Smith and Jack O'Koniewski.
The teams split the singles matches with Kaczkowski topping O'Gorman-Bean by a 6-3, 7-5 count at the number two spot and Farrell winning at number four by a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 score over Okoniewski. Matt Santen won in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 over Jeffrey LoDuca at fifth singles.
DePauw travels to Crawfordsville on Wednesday, April 15, to face Wabash in a 5 p.m. match. The Tigers will attempt to finish NCAC West play unbeaten for a fourth straight season.
