Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw took a 2-1 lead over 10th-ranked Chicago after doubles, but the 26th-ranked Tigers were swept in singles and the visiting Maroons left with a 7-2 victory on the DePauw indoor courts. The Tigers dropped to 4-5, while Chicago improved to 8-2.
Eric Vannatta and Alec Kaczkowski picked up an 8-4 win over Luke Tsai and Max Hawkins at first doubles, while Chris Bertolin and Dan Rodefeld defeated David Liu and Deepak Sabada at number two, 8-6.
Two of the six singles matches went three sets and, in both, the Tigers won the opening set.
The Tigers return to action on March 18 when they host Wittenberg at 4 p.m. in a North Coast Athletic Conference match.
