Greencastle, Ind.- The Tigers moved to 7-9 on the year, defeating Rose-Hulman 8-1, Tuesday evening at Blackstock Courts and the Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Rose-Hulman dropped to 5-3 with the loss.
DePauw picked up two doubles victories as Alec Kaczkowski and Nate Wallace defeated Cam Metzger and Matt Conrad 8-1 in the No. 2 doubles slot, while Matt Santen and Eric Bruynseels took down Derek Benedict and Tyler Haas 8-3 at third doubles.
The Engineers picked up their lone match victory at No. 1 doubles as the duo of Brandon Benedict and Georges Adam defeated Chris Bertolini and Dan Rodefeld 8-4.
In singles play, the Tigers cruised to six match victories led by Bertolini's 6-2, 6-1 victory over Benedict at the top position. Kaczkowski defeated Adam 6-1, 6-4 in number-two singles. DePauw grabbed a 6-4, 6-0 win at the third position as Rodefeld beat Metzger.
Bruynseels defeated Conrad 6-2, 6-0 and Santen took down Benedict 6-3, 6-2 at the fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Harold Martin picked up a win in sixth singles, defeating Haas 6-2, 6-0.
The Tigers are back in action Saturday, April 11, when they travel to Ohio Wesleyan for a 9:00 a.m. match.
