Box Score Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw set the tone early with five goals in the first five minutes including four in a span of just 52 seconds on the way to a 16-1 North Coast Athletic Conference win over visiting Hiram.
DePauw improved to 4-4 overall and 1-1 in the NCAC, while the Terriers dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Elizabeth McCracken scored the first goal just 1:54 into the contest and then assisted four different Tigers (Emma Flynn, Abigail Snively, Nicole Gibson, Carey Kunz) on the next scores which all occurred within a 52-second span.
The Tigers added 10 more for a 15-0 halftime advantage. The teams each scored once in the second half.
Snively and Emilye Denny each had three goals for the Tigers, while Gibson and Kunz added one each. McCracken totaled five assists in the win. Autumn Osgood collected Hiram's lone score.
Liz Hawkins finished with three saves for DePauw, while Hiram's Rachel Metcalf totaled 15.
The Tigers held a 34-5 shots advantage and led in ground balls, 38-18. DePauw also held a 14-5 margin in draw controls. DePauw was 10-of-12 on clears to Hiram's 7-of-25.
DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, April 1, when it hosts Illinois Wesleyan at 6 p.m.
