Fredericksburg, Va. - DePauw held a 2-1 lead after doubles, but could manage just one win in singles as 19th-ranked Mary Washington topped the 32nd-ranked Tigers, 6-3. DePauw dropped to 6-9, while the Eagles improved to 15-3.
DePauw's number-one tandem of Chris Bertolini and Dan Rodefeld defeated Tyler Carey and Evan Charles 8-5, while the third doubles team of Alec Kaczkowski and Nate Wallace were 8-6 winners over Andrew Curtis and Eric Hurwitz by an 8-6 score.
The Tigers' only win in singles came at number two where Kaczkowski defeated Stratton Gilmore 6-0, 7-5.
DePauw returns to action on Tuesday, March 31, when it hosts Rose-Hulman at 6:30 p.m.
