Box Score Sewanee, Tenn. - DePauw scored four goals in the opening three minutes and never trailed on the way to a 20-13 win over Berry. The Tigers improved to 3-3, while the Vikings dropped to 7-2.
Emma Flynn, Elizabeth McCracken, Emilye Denny and Carey Kunz each scored in the opening 2:46 to give DePauw the early lead. Berry closed the gap to 5-3, but the Tigers scored the final five goals of the half on the way to a 10-3 halftime lead.
Each team scored 10 in the second half as Berry got no closer than six goals the rest of the contest.
Denny Paced DePauw with five goals, while McCracken added four. Kelsey McAnnally led Berry with four goals, while Clara Bissell added three. Claire Rosenberg assisted on four goals.
Denny and Megan Morrison each had three ground balls for the Tigers, while Angelica Miller led Berry with three. DePauw's Abigail Sniveley won six draw controls with Berry's Lizzie Jones and Miller collecting four each.
Liz Hawkins recorded eight saves for the Tigers and Casey Born had six for Berry.
DePauw held a 35-28 edge in shots, while Berry led in ground balls, 19-17. The Tigers connected on 4-of-7 free position shots to Berry's 1-of-1.
The Tigers return to action tomorrow with a 6 p.m. CDT contest at Sewanee.
